We’re rolling out the red carpet for the real-life heroes who keep our communities safe — and even a few big-screen superheroes are joining the fun!

Family Safety Day: Hanging with Heroes is a FREE community event happening on August 15th from 10 AM–1 PM. The event will take place right outside Dave & Buster's in Mission Valley.

This annual event brings families and first responders together in a fun, interactive setting. The goal? To equip San Diego families with essential safety tips and resources, all while creating an unforgettable day of hands-on activities, live demos, and heroic memories.

We are looking for a team volunteers to assist with day of event coordination, set-up, tear down and more for Family Safety Day!

All volunteers will receive a FREE San Diego Moms tank top and a complimentary VIP Family Ticket to either Sips & Sweets with Santa on 11/29 or Glow BIG Noon Year on 12/31.

What does my FREE Ticket Include?

You'll get access to Hero Headquarters, the Superhero Scavenger Hunt, Superheroes in Training, the Superhero Kids Costume Contest, the Superhero Center Stage, and the Superhero Support Zone, which includes all our local businesses and non-profit partners. We have some heroic photo ops to snap that instaworthy photo! You can also visit our food and beverage partners, which are available for purchase, and enjoy crafts, FREE Swag & samples from various partners; a live DJ will be available. Ticket upgrades are available.

Where is the event being held?

The event will take place right outside Dave & Buster's in Mission Valley! The address is 2931 Camino Del Rio N, San Diego, CA 92108.

Where do I Park?

FREE on-site parking will be available. We will be sending out more specific instructions to families that have signed up.

When is the Schedule Sent Out?

Please check your email 72 hours prior to the event. We will send out the schedule of entertainment, which includes the meet and greets with all of the superheroes, raffle prize schedule, and special appearances.

Food and drink: What food will be served at the event? Can I bring my own food or drink?

Food & Beverage will be available for purchase at the event through Dave & Buster's catering team. You may bring outside food & beverage to the dedicated event space outside, but outside food and beverage is NOT allowed inside the building.
